01 Windsurfing at Human Sports
Our surf center is located in Vasiliki on the Ionian island of Lefkada (Greece). Windsurfing holidays for children, teenagers, and adults – for everyone who wants to make WATER SPORTS their top priority on vacation.
Human Sports is a surf center where everyone feels at home – personal, familiar, and international. For families, solo travelers, and couples. For windsurfing beginners as well as pros. We started with this goal in 2000, and now, 25 years later, we are very happy that so many have become regulars and that friendships have developed.
Euro Youth has a summer branch at the center and runs surf camps and team training sessions here.
Surf Pools and Courses
Those who already have at least the basics of windsurfing can book a surf pool for the duration of their vacation. Depending on their individual ability, surf pool guests have access to a full range of boards and rigs. Use of SUPs and kayaks is also included.
Beginners to windsurfing and those looking to improve can take a course. All our courses are held in small groups of no more than six to eight people in a relaxed, friendly atmosphere. Beginners are offered in the morning when the wind is light, and advanced surfers are offered in the afternoon when the thermal winds pick up. All courses are taught by trained windsurfing instructors.

Dear guests, we are already looking forward to summer 2025. The surf center in Vasiliki will open its doors on June 7, 2025.
For the first time in 2025, we will be offering Tabou boards and Gaastra sails for intermediate and advanced surfers. For beginners, the range will also be stocked with brand-new boards and sails from Tabou and Unifiber. Duotone boards and sails are also available.

03 Surfing
The 1.2 km long bay of Vasiliki Beach offers optimal conditions for surfers: In the morning, a light onshore breeze (1-3 bft) blows. In the afternoon, a thermal breeze blows, ideal for planing (4-6 bft, crossshore from the right). In the summer months, the wind is very reliable in the afternoon.
The large shallow water area is ideal for beginners and also offers excellent conditions for those working on their skills.
The water remains relatively shallow even in strong winds. And if there is no wind, our kayaks and SUPs are available.
OUR COURSE SYSTEM
Introductory and Intermediate Courses
Daily 1 hour of instruction plus 1 hour of free practice for beginners in the morning and advanced surfers in the afternoon in small groups (max. 8 participants). After a maximum of 5 course days, you will have mastered the basics of windsurfing in light winds (steering, tacking, jibing, right-of-way rules, safety).
Renting Surf Equipment
Guests who have at least mastered the basics of windsurfing can rent equipment. The surf center is open daily from 10:30 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Advance reservations are strongly recommended during July and August.
Equipment
A total of 100 rigs (Duotone and Gaastra for intermediate and advanced riders, and Unifiber for beginners) and 70 boards (Fanatic and Tabou for advanced riders, and BIC, Techno, and Tabou for beginners) are available.
04 Your stay
LEFKADA is a mountainous island with lush vegetation. Small, fertile islets lie off the wind-protected east coast, which gently slopes into the sea. The west coast, in contrast, is steep and rugged, with wide sandy beaches and wooded bays.
The island’s capital, Lefkada, offers a truly picturesque view with its colorfully painted wooden structures on the houses and its narrow, steep alleys.
The entire island can be explored by car or mountain bike. A detour to Kefalonia, the largest Ionian island, is also worthwhile. Fiskardo, with its picturesque yacht and fishing harbor in the north of Kefalonia, has retained the typical appearance of an island village. A ferry departs from Vasiliki to Fiskardo and back several times a day during the high season.

Direct flights to Preveza are available from Germany with Condor, Eurowings, Ryanair, and EasyJet from various major German cities. -
From the Netherlands
There are several direct flights a week from Amsterdam/Schiphol to Preveza with Transavia. -
From the UK
Easyjet and British Airways fly several times a week from London to Preveza.
By car, you can take the ferry (Anek Lines, Minoan, or Superfast) from Venice, Ancona, or Brindisi to Igoumenitsa. From there, Vasiliki is about a two-hour drive away.
